Tristan Paré-Morin is a musicologist, teacher, writer, pianist, and public speaker.
He currently teaches musicology at the University of Ottawa. His work focuses on nostalgia, film music, Paris, and the spaces of everyday life. This website gathers samples of his professional and personal projects. |
Tristan completed his PhD in Musicology at the University of Pennsylvania. His dissertation, Sounding Nostalgia in Post-World War I Paris, was funded by a competitive Chateaubriand Fellowship in the Humanities and Social Sciences, held in partnership with the Université Paris Sorbonne. He also completed a Certificate in College and University Teaching and academic training in digital humanities. His research on music and nostalgia is published in English and French.
